TUSID
Turkish Food Service, Laundry & Service Equipment Manufacturers & Businessmen Association was founded in 1991. Having 140 members it is the first and the only organisation of manufacturers and importers of food service, laundry and service equipment serving hospitality and catering sectors in Turkey.
TUSID’s main objectives are:
- ensuring professional and social solidarity among its members;
- promoting its members’ interests with govermental authorities;
- creating the conditions to exchange information among its members;
- following up the technical questions worldwide and inform the member companies;
- informing its members on legal, economic and enviromental issues.
TUSID does not only gather foodservice and laundry equipment manufacturers and importers but also the companies dealing with coldrooms and cooling units, professional cleaning equipment and chemicals, tableware and kitchenware, computer systems and furnitures for hospitality sector, hotel and restaurant textile and aftersales service.
General Assembly is convened every two years electing the governing bodies of the organisation. The Management Commitee is composed of 9 members and meets every 2-3 weeks. Former presidents of TUSID constitutes the Consultant Commitee meeting at least 2 times a year.
TUSID organizes an international sector exhibition in Istanbul bi-annually and also supports a hotel equipment show in Antalya that takes place every year.
TUSID also publishes a bi-monthly magazine, Gastronomi, which is the most popular publication in the sector.
